Trader Vic's is a festive Polynesian-style eatery offering an international menu and exotic cocktails in a setting overlooking the Emeryville Marina and San Francisco Bay. Restaurant visionary Vic "The Trader" Bergeron, who invented the original Mai Tai in 1944, created the tropical interior and cuisine that became world-famous with locations around the globe. He created the first fusion cuisine back in the 1940s adding Chinese fare to the Continental menus of the day. Enjoy the subtle smoky flavors imparted by their Chinese Wood-fired Ovens, an ancient cooking method dating back to the Han Dynasty, with dishes like Indonesian Rack of Lamb or fork-tender BBQ Spare Ribs. Trader Vic's outstanding cuisine and service are available for private events in four unique spaces in their building. These distinct spaces are suitable for any type of event from 6 to 100+ guests, with the largest venue having an island ambiance, opening up to an outdoor deck on the water.
